Competition for Young People 2009

Once again we have had an excellent response to our photography competition for young people, sponsored by Russell-Cooke Solicitors. Our judges, Ron Teague and Joyce Bing, Royal Parks official photographers, were extremely impressed with the overall standard of entries and awarded prizes in every category, plus several 'Highly Commended' certificates.

The competition was open to anyone aged 18 and under in three separate age categories: under 7; 7-11; and 12-18. The winners and 'Highly Commended' in each category are as follows:

The Friends of Richmond Park Photography Competition offers an opportunity for young people to go into Richmond Park and take pictures of what makes Richmond Park so special. This is the competition's third year; we hope to make it an annual event, so do visit our web site early in 2010 to find out details of next year's competition.

We would like to express our particular thanks to our sponsor, Russell-Cooke Solicitors, and to our judges, Ron Teague and Joyce Bing.

Prizes were awarded at our awards ceremony at Pembroke Lodge on Saturday 13th June.

All the winning photographs will be displayed in the Visitor Information Centre outside Pembroke Lodge in Richmond Park - open Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays 10am-5pm.
