Olympic Rings in the Park

The Olympic rings can now be seen by visitors flying into London for the Games after the giant symbol was mown into the grass at Richmond Park.

The logo measures 300m by 135m tall and is visible from the Heathrow flightpath.

Six shire horses performed the task – shire horses have been used for centuries in the Park – and will maintain the logo throughout the Olympics.
