How to become a Friend and help Richmond Park

The benefits of becoming a Friend are:
- Participation in our programme of Walks and Courses (free to members)
- Three Friends' Newsletters each year
- Monthly e-mail with news, Richmond Park and Isabella Diaries, and Bird Notes
- Free copy of Park information, maps etc as they appear
- Opportunity to volunteer e.g. at the Visitor Centre
Also, your subscription supports the Friends work in:
- Education of young people, directly and via schools
- Public information (manning the Visitor Centre, booklets etc)
- Conservation (funding projects, pressing for improvements)
- Preserving the Park from developments through lobbying
Current subscription rates are: individual £6; household £10; societies £10.
2. Work with us. If you would like to work more actively with the Friends, for example in one of our special interest groups, please contact our Chairman, Ron Crompton, at ron.crompton@frp.org.uk, or on 020 8876 1123.
We currently have four special interest groups:
- Education - promoting recognition of the unique nature of the Park and any threats to it
- Wildlife - encouraging members to take an interest in the Park's wildlife and the impact of people on its biodiversity
- Traffic - monitoring current developments; encouraging motorists to visit and enjoy the Park but not use it as a rat run; and campaigning for public transport improvements
- Events - organising educational and social events focused on the Park.
