Discoverers

For families exploring Richmond Park

What is the Discoverers programme?

Discoverers is the Friends of Richmond Park’s activities programme for families with school age children. Events take place on a number of weekends throughout the year. Most Discoverers events are free, and open to non-FRP members.

CELEBRATE THE FRP YEAR OF THE TREE AT OUR NEXT DISCOVERERS EVENT

'Meet the Shape Shifters of High Wood'

We hope to re-schedule this and other Discoverers family events when the current crisis is over.

In the meantime, if you are in the Park for your daily exercise, you might like to keep an eye open for some of its stranger inhabitants.Shape-Shifting-Tree-1

Some trees never really die. They just turn into something else - animal or other forms.  As well as being fascinating, these mysterious tree creatures are also vital contributors to our Park’s biodiversity.
Get on the trail of Richmond Park’s remarkable Shape Shifters. Download this guide to use when you are in the Park exercising!   Shape-Shifter-Guide

IMPORTANT - WHEN IN THE PARK
Keep your distance from other people.
And from the deer who are about to start giving birth
STAY SAFE!

You can find reports and photos from recent events on our events page at  https://frp.org.uk/discoverers-events/

Joining Discoverers is a great way to get to know our beautiful Park!
