As the nights drew in, and with Halloween round the corner, it was time to of and see if we could find some bats in the Park! They are here during spring and summer(they hibernate in winter) but they wake up a bit too late for us to come and look at that time!
Armed with our bat detectors, plenty of knowledge from Discoverers supplemented with a little bit of our own research, off we went near a pond to see what we could see, and hear on the detectors!
We were very fortunate with the weather on the two evenings we were there and we were not disappointed: plenty of bats flying around, some just above our heads! It was magical!
