Back in October, just before they went into hibernation, we went and looked for bats in the park, and guess what?…they were there, flying seemingly erratically in search of partner and food (that eternal quest!) and we had a lot of fun!
Philip from the Bat Conservation Society was there with us for the first evening but since so many of you were keen to attend, we managed to get hold of bat detectors and held two more events. The weather had turned decidedly wet and then cold for our second week but bats were still there.
I wonder what they are dreaming of now that they are asleep for the winter…
