Two of the three winners in the FRP's recent 'Posters in the Park' competition received well deserved prizes and certificates presented by Friends' Chairman Ron Crompton and RIchard Gray, organiser of the competition.
The picture shows the 9-13 age group joint winner, Olivia Staniaszek, aged 9, next to the adult winner Kim Spickett. They are flanked by Ron Crompton, Richard Gray and Sheila Hamilton from the Friends. The presentation took place on 7th July (the same day there was another famous winner down the road in Southfields) in Pembroke Lodge Gardens, where there is a display of all the winning and commended entries.
A full list of winners and commended entries can be seen at: https://www.frp.org.uk/friends/competitions.
Both Olivia's and Kim's poster designs are going to be used by the Friends to publicise the charity's 'Tread Lightly' campaign to reduce the impact of visitors on Richmond Park. Kim's 'Best Friends' poster is featured on the back cover of the newly published Friends newsletter.
