Discoverers is the Friends of Richmond Park activities programme for families and young people.

Our next Discoverers event is all about the Park's most popular residents – the 600 or so deer which live there and delight the many visitors who come to see them.

Which English King established Richmond Park as a deer park 400 years ago?
Which TWO deer species live there?
What they eat?
When male deer shed their antlers?
When young deer are born?
About TWENTY deer die every year because of human carelessness?
Learn the answers to the above questions and much more about these beautiful animals with the help of Workshop Leader Susanna Ramsey of the Nature Collection.

Event details

The event will begin with a briefing in the Cambrian Centre.
We will then go 'on safari' into the Park to see what we can see!
To help cover costs there will be a charge of £5.00 per child payable on the day
Successful applicants will be emailed with joining details
If you do not currently belong to the Friends, why not join and help look after something very special?
Annual membership costs £15.00 for a family

Most Discoverers events are open to non-members of Friends of Richmond Park (FRP).

If an event is overbooked, priority will be given to FRP members.
