Discoverers had fun on Sunday 9th January for their first monthly Sunday Nature Walk as we were looking for animal signs.

We found plenty of deer footprints and we could relate them to tracks in the bracken and, as if by magic, ten hinds suddenly appeared in the same direction!  We spotted signs of beetle activity under bark and woodpecker’s drilling on the bark of trees and more!  There was even water gushing through the clay in the ditch…we never know what we are going to come across!

We heard a loud song thrush and its jolly song reminded us that despite the cold, spring will return soon.
