During the summer holidays we have Volunteer Rangers out in Richmond and Bushy Parks on Tuesdays and Thursdays, as well as weekends.

Since the service started in April, our rangers have spoken to about 4000 people on a variety of topics, from what attractions to visit, to fascinating facts about wildlife and nature.

Nearly a third of these interactions are about our herd of red and fallow deer, with 98% of conversations resulting in people changing behaviours (moving further away, stopping feeding or touching).

Thank you to all our rangers for your hard work and for making these precious parks a better place.
