A Magical Fungi Morning at Two Storm Wood
The Friends Discoverers held a Fungi Morning based at Two Storm Wood on Sunday 23rd November. Magically, the sun appeared as we were setting up and clouds blew away to reveal a clear blue sky. Thanks to the recent rainfall, there were plenty of fungi to be found under Janet’s expert guidance. Our two Artists Sam and Sophie took the children on a creative journey making toadstools out of clay or paper, and creating beautiful colourful drawings.
Over 40 children attended and we had a fabulous time learning and being creative in Richmond Park!

New Richmond Park map
The Royal Parks have produced a new version of the Richmond Park map that appears on Park noticeboards and elsewhere. The Friends provided input and comment on draft versions. We are pleased to see the new map, particularly the improved representation of the shape of the Park. The map can be viewed and downloaded here:
