Calling  for  photos  for  Friends’  2021  Calendar  of  Richmond  Park

We are delighted to say that the 2020 calendar sold more than ever and so raised a record amount for projects in the Park. We are very grateful to all who donated their photos and now invite photos for the 2021 Calendar. The calendar will show the amazing diversity of fauna and flora and views in the Park across the seasons. Our closing date is Friday 17 April 2020.

Each photographer is invited to send in a maximum of 8 photos, but not more than 4 from any one season – winter, spring, summer, autumn. I love opening the photo files and being amazed by the images, so very much looking forward to receiving your emails.

It’s only me and my computer at this end receiving and sorting your photos, so, I really need you to help me by sending your photos in the following way (and many thanks as nearly all submissions were sent in this way last year).

  • Please rename each photo or photo file in the following manner:

Month taken in number, surname of photographer, name of subject.

e.g. a photo of a little egret taken in July by me would be: 7.Press.littleegret. If you have more than one of the same subject in the same month, then just add a number at the end e.g. 7.Press.littleegret.2  If you have difficulty in renaming files, then please just list the existing file name or number in the body of the email along with the new name as above.

  • Please send your photos as low or high resolution JPEGs (as they came off the camera).
  • You can send me your photos is two ways:
    • as an email attachment to calendar.frp@gmail.com (Please do not send photos in the body of an email).
    • I recommend sending by We Transfer: wetransfer.com/  (This is easy to use and free)
    • Please can you include a list of the photos, named as above.

Your photograph may be printed in a large or a small size, depending on how the design works out and there is no fee, but we will credit each photo.

Please ensure and confirm that your photos of deer are taken from a distance of least 50 yards.

It is the responsibility of each entrant to ensure that any images they submit which include an identifiable person or persons have been taken with the permission of the person or persons pictured and do not infringe the copyright of any third party or any laws. Entrants must warrant that the photograph they are submitting is their own work and that they own the copyright for it. Copyright in all images submitted for the 2021 calendar remains with the respective entrants.

The address for your photos and all correspondence is calendar.frp@gmail.com
