Monday 10th February 2020

Richmond Park re-opened to the public today. Most catering outlets and the Visitor Centre will remain closed for the rest of the day.

The park escaped relatively lightly, given the winds, with 3 major trees and a dozen or so small trees lost. Checks to less used areas of the park will continue throughout the day and it is worth noting that gusty winds are forecast to continue through to Wednesday so there is still a possibility of further damage.

Thanks to the teams that worked through the weekend to manage the situation, and the park should return to a full service tomorrow.
