Volunteering opportunities with the Friends

The Friends of Richmond Park has no staff and we rely on volunteers to carry out our valuable work. Volunteering for the Friends is an excellent way to support Richmond Park. It offers the joy of making a difference with the satisfaction of giving back. Our website lists a variety of volunteering opportunities. We are particularly seeking volunteers for three specific activities.
1 – Producing the Friends’ Richmond Park Calendar
We are looking for a volunteer – or a small team – to produce our Calendar. This includes sourcing and selecting photographs, design and artwork, and managing production, printing and distribution ready for sale at the end of August. We would be pleased to hear from anyone interested in taking on the whole role or being part of a small team.
2 – Events co-ordinators
We organise events or attend other events, for example local fairs. These events raise the profile of the Friends, educate people about Richmond Park and attract new members. Around three or four events take place each year and we are looking for volunteers to co-ordinate one or more of these events.
3 – Monitoring co-ordinator
We monitor events organised in Richmond Park to establish a clear factual record of what has occurred and propose improvements. We also monitor general park activity and developments. We require a volunteer to assist with coordinating the monitoring of these activities.
